Long Day

Well, here I am in Congo once again... However there have been a few changes. I am now a Service Leader which means that I am now the Supervisor for all cementers within 22 different countries in Africa. I am first just trying to make some kind of order out of the chaos that is here. Right now, my goal is to have all equipment certified and accounted for by the first of the year. During all of this, I also have to put out brush fires that just pop up out of nowhere, like the mis-placed radiation units that really weren't mis-placed, but someone decided to send an email to cooperate that they were. just as soon as that fire is out, another one comes up, so it is taking a little longer to get things straightened out than I would like it to. I finally got back to the staff house last night, plugged in my phone to charge, turned on the laptop, turned on the light to the bathroom, and pow!!! all lights went out, laptop has a black screen and making funny noises, and cellphone is dead. So, today, I got a new battery for my phone (lucky that that is all that happened to it), and I have a guy with IT looking at the laptop. Tomorrow I get to go to the clinic and get a physical in ordeer to get the passes that I will require to go to the places that I need to go to, and the police department is issuing me a congolese drivers license...
